Why change it
They drink from it every day. Is it still fresh?
A filter works hard. Every day it catches hair, food crumbs and dust, while the carbon takes up odours. Over a few weeks the layers fill up, the flow slows and the water doesn’t stay as fresh between cleans.
That matters for their health. Cornell’s vets say clean bowls with fresh water encourage cats to drink more, and lower water intake has been linked to painful bladder problems in cats.

Good to know
Will these fit my fountain?
They fit the 3.2L Palsora Stainless Steel Pet Fountain (cat + small dog size). The 7L large-dog fountain comes with its own filter.
Do they fit other brands’ fountains?
They’re sized for the Palsora 3.2L filter holder (about 9 × 4.5 × 2 cm). We can’t promise they’ll fit other fountains.
How often should I change the filter?
Every 2–4 weeks, and sooner if the water looks cloudy. The 2-month supply has 4 filters, the 4-month supply 8 and the 6-month supply 12: enough for a fresh filter about every 2 weeks.
Do I change the sponge too?
Yes. Each cartridge comes with its own sponge, so swap both together. In between, rinse the sponge if it collects hair.
Do I need to prepare a new filter?
Rinse it under running water before you clip it in. That’s all.
