Fresh, flowing water, all day

Why water matters

The science behind Palsora

Water keeps your pet's kidneys and bladder working. Yet many cats and dogs don't drink enough, and the problems linked to it are some of the most common, and most painful, reasons pets end up at the vet.

“Many cats prefer to drink from water fountains.”
Cornell Feline Health Center
Give them fresher water

These figures describe cat and dog health in general. They are not results from using Palsora, and a fountain doesn't treat or prevent disease. If your pet is drinking much more or less than usual, talk to your vet.

3.2L cordless

Three ways to keep water flowing Mode timings are the manufacturer’s specifications.

Pick the mode that suits your pet and your day.

Cat walking up to the Palsora 3.2L fountain as water starts to flow Mode 1

Motion sensor

Water starts flowing when your pet comes within about 1.5 m, then rests to save battery.

Timer

Water flows every 15 minutes, so it keeps moving between visits.

Constant flow

Plug in the USB cable for a steady, continuous stream.

7L for large dogs

Steady flow

Plugs into the wall for continuous, filtered flow, with no battery to charge.

Fewer refills

Holds more than twice as much as the 3.2L, so big dogs have plenty between top-ups.

Why a fountain

Your pet can’t tell you they’re thirsty

Pets can’t tell you when they need more water, and the signs of a problem are easy to miss. Lower water intake has been linked to painful bladder inflammation in cats, and vets warn that dehydration can speed up damage to ageing kidneys.

A still bowl doesn’t help. It collects dust, hair and food crumbs, and in a Hartpury University study of dog water bowls, bacteria counts rose significantly within a week in plastic, ceramic and stainless steel bowls alike. Cornell University’s Feline Health Center notes that many cats prefer to drink from water fountains.

7 dayswas all it took for bacteria in dogs’ water bowls to rise significantly, in every bowl material tested. Sources: Wright & Carroll, Hartpury University (EAAP 2018); Cornell Feline Health Center, “Chronic Kidney Disease”; Defauw et al., in Hill’s review of feline idiopathic cystitis.

Palsora keeps water moving through a 4-layer filter, so it stays fresher and more inviting between cleans, and the stainless steel bowl goes straight in the dishwasher.

Good to know

Which size should I choose?

Choose the 3.2L for cats and small dogs. It's cordless with a motion sensor, so it can go anywhere, and takes our replacement filters. Choose the 7L for large dogs: it plugs in and holds more than twice as much water. Both have a dishwasher-safe 304 stainless steel bowl.

Will my pet use it straight away?

Some pets drink from it on day one, others take a few days. Put it where they already rest, keep their old bowl nearby at first, then move the bowl away once they’re drinking from the fountain.

Which plug do I need?

Choose the plug for the country you'll use the fountain in: AU / NZ for Australia and New Zealand, UK for the United Kingdom, US / Canada for North America, or EU for most of Europe.

How long does the 3.2L battery last?

Up to 45 days on standby from a full charge, and a full charge takes about 6 hours with the USB cable. Motion mode rests between visits to save battery, and constant flow runs with the cable plugged in.

How loud is it?

The pump runs at under 40 dB, so it suits bedrooms and living areas. If you hear it gurgle, top up the water: a low level is the usual cause.

How do I care for it?

Refresh the water every day or two. Once a week, lift out the pump and put the stainless steel bowl in the dishwasher. On the 3.2L, swap the filter cartridge every 2–4 weeks. Our replacement filters come as a 2, 4 or 6-month supply, or on subscription so fresh filters arrive automatically.

Do the replacement filters fit the 7L?

No. Our replacement filters are made for the 3.2L. The 7L comes with its own filter.

What water should I use?

The same clean drinking water you’d put in their bowl. Refresh it every day or two and top up before the level runs low.

Can more than one pet share it?

Yes. If you have large dogs or several pets, the 7L holds more than twice as much as the 3.2L, so you’ll refill less often.

How long does delivery take?

Most orders are sent within 1–3 days. Delivery time and shipping price depend on your country: the delivery estimate on this page updates for the country you choose under Ship to, and every country we deliver to is on our Shipping information page. Orders over $100 AUD (or the same amount in your currency) ship free with tracking.

What if something isn't right?

If your order arrives damaged or faulty, contact us and we'll make it right with a repair, replacement or refund. This doesn't limit any rights you have under the consumer laws of your country. See our Returns & refunds page for change-of-mind returns.

The Palsora promise: thoughtfully chosen products for calmer, happier pets.
